Career
David Zilberman, son of the legendary Victor Zilberman, extends the family legacy into coaching at Concordia University. A former two-time national champion as an athlete (2008 Beijing Olympian), Zilberman developed an early and deep understanding of technical excellence. Coached by his father Victor Zilberman and Robert Moore, he absorbed high-level coaching methodology from the start.
As head coach of the Stingers at Concordia and manager of the Montreal Wrestling Club (MWC), Zilberman applies a philosophy that runs counter to short-term wins: he aims at his athletes’ personal growth and durable long-term goals. “Tough but fair,” according to observers, he combines sharp technical work with steady psychological mentorship.
A teacher at Vanier College, Zilberman embodies the coach-educator, establishing Concordia and the Montreal Wrestling Club as Quebec institutions of excellence. His dual legacy — son of Canada’s greatest coach and mentor of emerging generations — establishes a remarkable continuity in the transmission of wrestling knowhow.
