Dave Spinney

Dave Spinney contributes to the development of Canadian wrestling as an emerging coach. A volunteer assistant coach at Western University, he recently returned from the World University Games in Turkey as part of the Team Canada coaching staff. Involved in team selections for the Pan American Championships and Olympic qualifiers, Spinney is progressively broadening his influence.

Coming out of Western Wrestling, Spinney brings a practical perspective to development camps and national selections. A team coach for the Pan American squads (Santiago 2023) and an assistant on major preparations, he represents the new generation of Canadian technical mentors. His commitment to the systematic development of junior and senior athletes contributes to the continuous renewal of the national program.
