Biography

Linda Morais is one of Canada’s most decorated women wrestlers, forging her excellence on the world stage. Originally from Tecumseh, Ontario, she represents Canada through the Montreal Wrestling Club and the National Training Centre (NTC). A specialist in the 59–68 kg freestyle range, Morais steadily climbed the ranks of international competition.

Her peak came with gold at the 2019 World Championships at 59 kg, a reward for her commitment and refined technique. She added bronze at the 2016 Worlds (60 kg) and 2022 Worlds (68 kg). A regular competitor at the Commonwealth Games and Pan American Games, Morais has maintained a stable presence at the top of the world rankings.
