Biography

Jade Dufour illustrates the emergence of talented young Quebec women wrestlers pursuing international excellence. Originally from Belle River, Ontario, Dufour trains with the Montreal YMHA Wrestling Club and briefly studied at Concordia University (Stingers). Quickly establishing herself in the light and middle weight classes, she stood out from the junior level.

A decorated junior and university-age competitor: bronze at the 2016 Junior World Championships (Mâcon, France), bronze at the 2016 and 2019 U23 World Championships (Budapest). In 2017 she qualified for Tier 1 NextGen status in the national program. Holding the 2017 Canadian national title at 48 kg, she steadily built an international ranking.

Representing the blossoming of Quebec talent within the Canadian federal program, Dufour illustrates the systematic development of young wrestlers from junior into senior competition. Her continued commitment suggests a sustained future international presence.
